What is Eternal Life
| Eternal life means that once you make a total commitment to Jesus Christ you will have eternal life once you die and leave this world; this life is given to us by Jesus as a gift to all believers. This also means that the second death that the Bible talks about will not have any effect on us; however, the persons that do not believe on Him will enter into the Lake of Fire after the Great White Throne Judgment, this is the second death, to spend all eternity separated from God. In this life God gave us two choices to choose from; to choose to be with Him or to choose to not be with Him: in either case it is for all eternity; and there is no changing your mind once you are there. You must choose in this life where you want to go when you die; Heaven or The Lake of Fire, you will have eternal life in either one. Here are a few verses concerning eternal life. Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. 1 John 5:13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. Jude 1:21 Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. | | |
